MaxspellSeoBot is the crawler behind Maxspell SEO audits. It visits a site only after the owner of that domain has verified it in their Maxspell account and asked for an audit. It identifies itself with this user agent:

Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MaxspellSeoBot/1.0; +https://maxspell.com/seo-audit)

How It Behaves

  • It reads robots.txt first and follows its rules.
  • It fetches only public pages, a few at a time, with a pause between requests, up to the page limit of the audit plan.
  • It runs weekly, or when the site owner starts a scan, and does not submit forms or sign in.

How to Block It

Add these lines to your robots.txt:

Disallow: /
